National Day of Lithuania celebrated in EXPO 20152015-07-15
Today, 15 July, the Global Exhibition 'EXPO 2015' in Milan, Italy, is holding the National Day of Lithuania. The Lithuania official delegation led by Dalia Grybauskaitė, President of Lithuania, also includes Minister of Environment Kęstutis Trečiokas.
‘The eyes of the visitors of the Global Exhibition in Milan are on Lithuania today. We are delighted that our pavilion gets much interest and many visitors who may enjoy weekly tastings, musical performances, and presentations of traditional crafts. We are interesting and should be proud in that,' said Minister of Environment, Kęstutis Trečiokas, who is taking part in the events of the National Day of Lithuania.
There are also concerts by the Vilnius City Municipality's St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra led by Donatas Katkus and the Vilnius Teachers' House mixed choir Bel Canto Choir to visitors of the exhibition on the National Day of Lithuania. The Lithuanian Pavilion is also hosting presentations and tastings of diverse food products.
A day before the National Day, on 14 July, an exhibition of the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania with unique museum objects was opened in one of the most significant museums of Milan, the famous Sforza Castle.
